The instrument is suitable for a 220/240V, 50Hz earthed supply and should be connected to a 13amp socket outlet with a 2Amp fuse. The instruments have a fixed output voltage of 8.0 Volts and when applied to an external resistance of 0.1 Ohm the current passed through it will be 0.25Amps. Tests earth resistance to BS.3456 and BS.4533; Green light Pass/Fail.
