Passive Intermodulation (PIM) has been around for a long time. Still, as we add capacity to the airwaves (new bands, more carriers, and denser deployments), the amount and impact of PIM is also increasing. The resulting elevated uplink noise floor, sometimes called “High Receive Total Wideband Power” or RTWP, impacts coverage, capacity, and ultimately, quality of service.
