14-bit ADC Delivering Four Times the Resolution

A key component in achieving high vertical accuracy is the ADC. The ADC converts the analog signal into a digital format that the oscilloscope can display. The number of bits in the ADC determines the resolution of this conversion. A higher number of ADC bits means more vertical resolution, translating to more accurate signal representation.

All electronic devices, including oscilloscopes, generate some level of noise. However, the goal is to minimize the noise as much as possible.
