The N5256BW is a frequency extender module supplied by OML to perform measurements with an N522xB PNA or N524xB PNA-X vector network analyzer in 60 to 90 GHz (E-band). It can be used with a PNA/PNA-X and an N5261/62/92A test set controller or directly connected with a 4-port PNA/PNA-X for direct control configuration. This measurement configuration allows you to run most of the PNA software applications in E-band.
The millimeter-wave modules are designed for use with the N5260/61/62A Millimeter-wave Module Controllers for banded vector network analyzer systems. Refer to the N5250C or N5261/62A Users Guides (N5260-90001 or N5262-90001) for system connections, operation and functional check.
The N5256A/B “T/R” Millimeter-wave Module contains an RF source multiplier, dual directional coupler, reference downconverter and a test downconverter. The T/R Millimeter-wave Module is usually the primary module of a millimeter-wave VNA system. A single T/R module allows the measurement of S11 reflection coefficient only.
The single and dual channel receiver modules are used for antenna applications or for 1-port single path S-parameter measurements.
VNA modules enable engineers to conduct mm-wave S-parameters. The DUT interface is the standard waveguide flange that complies with MIL-DTL-3922/67D. Organized by waveguide bands, VNA modules are available from 50 GHz to 0.5 THz.
The N5256BW15 will expand your existing VNA capabilities so you can conduct millimeter wave S-parameter measurements from 50 to 75 GHz.
Modules are available in a variety of S-parameter configurations: T/R, T and/or S. They also offer various options including variable attenuation, low power, intermodulation distortion measurements (IMD) and extended frequency bands.
