250 kHz to 67 GHz PSG Analog Signal Generator

The standard PSG is a continuous wave (CW) generator.
You can optionally add analog and/or pulse modulation formats.



Features:
Frequency resolution .001Hz;
10 ms frequency switching speed (typical);
Output power: -20dBm to +5dBm with option 1EA to +14dBm;
Output power: -110dBm to +3dBm with option 1E1;
SSB phase noise at 20kHz offset from carrier -134dBc to -104dBc
depending on carrier frequency.
Step/list sweep (8 ms switching typical).

RF output impedance 50 ohms.
Connector type: Precision 1.85 mm male; plus 1.85 - 1.85 mm and
2.4 - 2.9 mm female adaptors.

Option UNU Pulse modulation and is not compatible with UNW.
Option UNT provides dual function generators with two independent signals
(Internal1 and internal2) for use with AM, FM, PM, or LF Out.
Waveforms Sine, square, positive ramp, negative ramp, triangle,
gaussian noise, uniform noise, swept sine, dual sine.
Option UNX Ultra-low phase noise performance and is not compatible with
UNR.

Option UNY provides an advanced phase lock loop circuit along with a
high-performance internal frequency reference that improves both the
close-in and pedestal phase stability to provide superior
phase noise performance at all offsets less than 250 kHz from
carrier
With the integrated frequency dividers enabled (included with Option
UNY),
the E8257D uses a dividing technique to output carrier frequencies
below 250 MHz. This results in improved phase noise at all offsets
for these frequencies. The dividers can be disabled,
returning the PSG to a standard mode of creating low frequencies
with a heterodyning technique. This mode provides wider deviation
bandwidth for frequency and phase-modulated signals.
No upgrade available for UNY, must be ordered at time of purchase.
